We're taking your game to a whole new level.

WHAT IS NBNU?

NBNU is the newest program at NBN Sports, offering kids in 3rd through 12th grades with programs and activities that go well beyond the court.  In this program, kids are challenged to "think outside the box" with activities designed to stimulate critical thinking, increase personal accountability, and reinforce confidence for its members.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

NBNU is a membership program offers membership for kids in the third through twelfth grade. Membership is granted on a yearly basis, and includes access to all NBNU programs as well as two sports clinics per month.

Once a member, kids can continue the program throughout high school so long as they remain in good standing with the program. Activities will focus on a variety of industries and skill sets. Each activity will be hosted and executed by industry experts.

WHAT ARE THE AREAS OF FOCUS?

NBNU was designed around the idea of propelling kids in the Raleigh/Durham area into programs that enhance their overall development. We place a high  priority on STEM related programs, and offer a variety of hands on activities and courses related to computer development, coding, robotics, engineering, medical, biology, etc. Other areas we focus on include business and entrepreneurship, financial literacy, the arts, character development, literature and student support.

IS THERE A FEE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROGRAM?

NBNU is a free program, designed so that all kids - regardless of family income - are able to participate. Without the help of our partners and sponsors however, this program would not exist. Learn more about how you can help support NBNU.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

In order to become a member, parents must complete registration, provide the child's most recent report card,  and complete the mandatory (in person) assessment with the NBNU advisor.

In order to remain in the program, the child must be actively involved in NBNU activities, must maintain the personalized, quarterly GPA requirements, and complete 12 hours of community service.  Students who fail to comply with the requirements will be put on member probation for a period of 60 days to fulfill obligations to meet requirements. Failure to meet requirements within 60 days will result in loss of membership.

Membership for the NBNU 2018 season is now open. Registration is limited, and is on a first come-first served basis. To ensure that your membership is accepted, register today!
